Epic Traffic Systems – Are there any Affordable Alternatives?

2

This is the single most posted question by subscribers to my newsletter and therefore I have chosen to answer it in this blog post.

The new Epic Traffic Systems launched by Keith Baxter, Jon Stugart and Joey Smith went live on 15th June with a price tag of $1,997 (one-time payment option) or $797 (3-installment payment plan).

The product includes comprehensive training on web traffic systems, a copy of their previously held Traffic Domination workshop, a bunch of automation software covering traffic sources from Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc.), Organic SEO (through building a link network using WordPress multi user sites) and Paid Traffic sources (PPC, PPV, etc.), plus free pass to a live web traffic training event in August 2010.

After personally reviewing the total package, I believe the price level of $1,997 provides tremendous value for someone who wants to quickly get up to speed with gaining web traffic using all the three sources of traffic – Social Media, Organic SEO and Paid Traffic plus get the all important training.

Many subscribers of mine were more interested in the Epic Traffic Systems suite of automation tools and less on the traffic training modules and since they could not decouple the 2, asked me for my advise on options. So here's my take on this -

1. Paid Traffic Automation:

Two products come to mind here when looking at the Epic Traffic Systems paid media campaign automation tools -

a) SpeedPPC: This is a tried and trusted product that has been in the market since 2004 and supports automation of PPC campaigns for the Content and Search networks on multiple ad networks – Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, Bing AdCenter, Miva, Ask, 7Search, AffiliateRadar, etc. (most of the networks mentioned in the recently launched and popular PPC/PPV traffic training courses – Confidential Conversions by Philip Mansoor and PPC Ninja by Christian Weselak – both are excellent courses).

SpeedPPC also creates custom landing HTML as well as WordPress pages. Price: $497 for the pro version. You can check out SpeedPPC on its website www.speedppc.com.

b) Placement Locator: This product from seasoned Internet Marketer, Armand Morin enables you to quickly find wbsites to place your banners. Placement Locator is priced at $197 and you can view the product demo here. The functionality of the Placement Locator software is one of the features demonstrated in the Epic Traffic Systems video.

For your quick banner creation need, you can download the free Banner creation tool from the Epic Traffic Systems website here or even better use the powerful and free Display Ads Builder from Google.

2. Social Media Traffic:

The crux of the Epic Traffic Systems social media marketing automation tools is their Twitter Marketing Automation software. You can pick up a more powerful tool for automated Twitter marketing with TweetAttacks ($147) from Jayson Yanuaria. Check out the video demo of TweetAttacks here.

As always, I recommend SYNND as the most powerful social media marketing weapon – for marketing via social media the right way.

You may also check out Web Link Robot as a complimentary tool to SYNND.

3.Organic SEO Traffic:

For organic SEO traffic, through link building and automated blog network creation, you can check out Traffic Multiplier X at $197.

(On a side note, I did find Mark Dulisse's Dominating Google's course and tools a worthwhile mention for newbies wishing to dominate organic search rankings on Google)

So, based on where you are with respect to your web traffic needs, you can either pick and choose individual programs as listed above or go with one single package which ties it all together viz, Epic Traffic Systems.

Your comments and suggestions are welcome.

Andy,

Great write-up. My sense is that for those who already have an understanding of paid traffic techniques, including the ad networks you mentioned, Epic Traffic Systems is WAY overpriced. But I guess it comes down to how much an IM already knows.

I tried SE Nuke but quit because it was so horribly tedious. How does Web Link Robot compare to SE Nuke in terms of functionality? Ease of use? Heck, if it is REALLY easy to use I would be interested, but only for the one-time fee arrangement.

Thanks for all your great insights.
