WP Robot 2.0 is released!

Here's what's new in this version update -

1. Backdating and Scheduling

When bulk creating new blog posts you can now choose to backdate them and start posting at any date of your choice. This allows you to make brand new auto blogs look like they have been around for a long time already!

Example: The following settings will create 3 posts, the first being dated "10/01/2009", the second "10/08/2009" and the third "10/15/2009".

2. Humanized Post Times

This is cool! By adding a random factor to the schedules you set for your keywords, the autoblogs WP Robot creates will look much more natural to your visitors as well as search engine spiders.

3. Automatic Link Cloaking

In WP Robot 2.0 you do now have the option to cloak all your outgoing affiliate links to protect your data and improve your search engine rankings.

4. Amazon BrowseNode Support

By using Amazon BrowseNodes you can let WP Robot post all products in a specific Amazon category. By doing that you can for example create powerful Amazon affiliate niche shopping sites.

What are Amazon BrowzNodes?

Amazon uses a hierarchy of nodes to organize its items for sale. Each node represents a collection of items for sale, such as Harry Potter books, not the items themselves. Amazon Associates Web Service calls the nodes, browse nodes because the customer can browse through the nodes to find the collection of items that interests them. For example, the customer might be interested in the browse nodes Literature & Fiction, Medicine, Mystery & Thrillers:, Nonfiction:, or Outdoors & Nature.

Browse nodes are related in a hierarchical structure; each browse node can be a leaf node or a parent node. A leaf node has no children nodes, a parent node does, as shown in the following figure.

5. New Yahoo News Module

Now you can automatically add the latest news on any topic to your weblog with the new Yahoo News Module which is powered by the official Yahoo News API.

This module post the latest news about any topic to your weblog. The content will be retrieved from Yahoo News, which indexes millions of news posts from thousands of important websites every day.

* Post targeted content from Yahoo News related to any topic and niche.
* Choose from many different languages, including English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
* Uses the official Yahoo News API (a free Yahoo Application ID is required to use this module).
* Add up to 5 news stories in a single Wordpress post.
* Many other customizable options.

6. New RSS Module

The new RSS module can post content from any of the billions of free RSS feeds out there to your weblog on autopilot.

7. Improved Admin Design

Several improvements to the WP Robot admin area help you keep a clear view and use the plugin more efficiently than ever before. See here for more information.

Here's some more details regarding the MIX feature that was introduced in Version 1.3 -

The MIX Feature

The eBay, Youtube and Flickr Modules offer a MIX feature which allows you to use their content in every other of WP Robot's module in order to mix your content and make your blog look more natural. This feature allows you for example to add thumbnail images to Article Module posts or related auctions to Amazon Module posts.

MIX Template Tags:

{auction} – Use this tag in the template option of any module to insert a targeted eBay auction into every post by that module.

{image} – Use this tag in the template option of any module to insert a related image from Flickr into every post by that module.

The {owner} and {imageurl} tags can be used along with {image} to give proper attribution to the owner of the image (as required by some of Flickr's licenses).

{video} – Use this tag in the template option of any module to insert a targeted video from Youtube into every post.

Of course you can buy the product module-wise and pay less. However it still beats the price point of WP Mage.
