Site Profit Bot – 5 Tips on How To Maximize Your ROI on this Software

13

To those of you you have bought a copy of JP Schoeffel's Site Profit Bot, I hope these tips can help you see good monetary results in 2010.

If you are reading this post for the first time and have not yet got yourself a copy of this software, then go right ahead and get it now (you can read my review of Site Profit Bot here).

Tip #1: Do your market research:

Please do not simply create thin content websites with SPB … spend a couple of hours -

  • Researching your niche (you may want to consider getting the Google Sniper course, if you haven't already)
  • Shortlisting a few keywords that meet the criteria of high-search-low-traffic and with products that you can promote with at least $15 profit
  • Write unique articles yourself or use PLR content to create articles that are optimized for your chosen keywords

You can do all the above by using 1 tool – Market Samurai. The process is simple and scientific (you can read my review on Market Samurai here).

Tip #2: Use a market level or mega-niche level keyword for your SPB site:

Remember that SPB generates content from the social networks. So when you choose a topic for your SPB site, you must select a market or niche that has sufficient buzz on the social networks (for example, if you pick a keyword like say 'industrial pumps', you will not find much content on the social networks, although it may be a high search keyword and a revenue niche).

Do not use long-tail keywords as the keyword for your SPB site. You can use these in the titles and content of your articles. Use a market level or mega-niche level keyword for your SPB site.

Tip #3: Research for products to promote:

While it is easy and quick to generate an SPB site, it will be worth your while to spend a little extra time to carefully select the products to promote on your site. You need to maximize the revenue potential for your sites. Here's what you could do -

A) If there are good products from Clickbank for your niche (you can easily find this with the Monetization module of Market Samurai), then go through the affiliate resources section of the product and get the code for the right sized banner.

You can also sign up for CBproAds and it is very simple to get rotating text and image advertisements for your niche.

B) Check out other networks like Commission Junction, Share-a-Sale as well as the large CPA networks for good-margin products to promote.

If you want to rotate your ads and you are comfortable with setting up server based applications, then you must check out the free Ad Server from OpenX.org.

C) If you do not find products in (A) and (B) above, then go with Amazon and Adsense ads.

Tip #4: Protect your website and your investment:

With the new FTC regulations in place, you do not want to take a chance on getting on the wrong side of the FTC or other online regulators. My recommendation is for you to get yourself a copy of AutoWebLaw and create the mandatory documents customized to your site – Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Affiliate Disclosure, Disclaimer, Contact.

When you get into the online marketing business you must look at the long term and build for the long term. So make sure your protect yourself. AutoWebLaw is a worthwhile and economical investment.

Also if your have all these mandatory pages set up, Google will index your site sooner and also give you better ranking over a similar website without these pages.

Tip #5: Promote your Website consistently:

This can be the most time consuming part of the Internet marketing business – but is necessary (unless you intend going in for paid traffic). Promoting your website includes social bookmarking, social media marketing, article marketing, back-linking, promoting to RSS aggregators, etc. etc. …

You must have come across tools like Bookmarking Demon, SENUKE, EVO2 (formerly BruteForceSEO), Web2Mayhem, among many more. These tools are good but they are time consuming (both in terms of personal & computing time) to set up and propagate your content. They can be expensive too … an average of $127 per month (with the exception of Bookmarking Demon, which is a one-off $147 purchase).

I have a more time and effort efficient plus cost effective recommendation for you – take a look at the SYNND Perpetual Internet Traffic Machine. I use it – it works great, costs $67 per month, and saves me time (you can read my review on SYNND here).

The most important part is that you should have a promotion plan in place and stick to it.

You can get a good return on your $67/$97 investment in Site Profit Bot by simply following the following plan for the next 90 days -

1. Do your research for niches, keywords, products and content

2. Build your SPB site based on the above and include unique keyword optimized articles (if you are not combining SPB with Wordpress)

3. Using the SYNND application promote your unique article pages using both bookmarking and content syndication features

Simply repeat 1, 2, and 3 above for 90 days … build as many sites as you can and don't bother with checking your earnings or your website indexing until the 90 days are up. You will be in for a nice surprise.

Additional Recommendations:

1) If you are building a large number of websites, I would recommend that you get the Aluminium Reseller Hosting Plan from Hostgator. They have recently doubled their package offering and you can host between 40-50 domains at $24.95 per month, with more control over your hosting.

2) If you are looking for new content then I would recommend this PLR product that I bought yesterday.

Its on a special till 10th Jan 2010, and at $14.99 (one-time fee) its a 'no brainer' for 29,000 plus articles with a software that organizes them. Just the software itself is worth the price as the developer will be providing a free upgrade to add your own PLR articles as part of the database.

Another PLR option is Ultimate PLR and for $127 per year, you will get 400+ articles per month and the WPmanagerDX application free.

3) If you want a good article spinner, check out Magic Article Rewriter, which I use to make some of my PLR articles unique as well as to get my bookmarking posts with the Spinning Syntax.

Hope you found this useful. Please add your comments and questions and I will do my best to address them.

Hi Andy;

Thanks for the replyand help. So, you think we shouldn't really bother with WP-SPB combinations, but to concentrate on building the sites and promoting them — preferably with SYNND.

PLS look at my site – http://income-path.com. Apart from the article pages, how do I syndicate any other pages/their content? (using SYNND)

Bearing in mind the expenditure for domain registrations would you advise to use sub domains instead?

Thanx

Hi Andy;

I also noticed that in your sites you have swaped round the positions of "popular tags" with "at a glance". It is very good since the at a glance info is pretty shaby.

How can I achieve this in my sites. I'm sure many others would love to know this.

By the way I think SPB should compensate you for your great help to all of us SPBers on you blog…… God Bless you.

Hi,

Is it possible to combine SPB with wp-mage, I see that there is some software that allows you to combine xsitepro websites with wordpress.

great post!
Do you use quantitative criteria in market samurai to identify your mega niche, and if so, what is it you look for?

Also, what's your opinion, or what have you heard, about how effective Traffic Bug is at getting sites well ranked. For me it seems to do a lot of stuff – in the sense that I get all kind of emails from obscure directories indication some activity – but it seems that none of that actually helps me get ranked on Google.

Hi Andy,
I had vaguely heard of Google Sniper beforey, but with your recommendation above I took a more careful look at the page. The sales page is good enough that I can't tell where the reality ends and the hype begins. It certainly promises a lot.

Have you done a review on it, or can you tell us more about your opinions? I notice that in this post you are recommending it for keyword research – does this fill a gap that maybe Market Samurai doesn't?
